Cookie Policy
Last updated: 11 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how BilKit, operated by DevCults Technologies Pvt Ltd, uses cookies and similar browser storage (such as localStorage) when you use the Service. For how we handle personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy.
1. What we use and why
We group browser storage and tracking into three tiers: essential (required to run and secure the Service, always on), analytics and session replay (both optional, used to understand and improve the product — you can decline them).
Essential (always on)
These keep the Service working and are not gated by consent. This includes error monitoring and support, which we run under our legitimate interest in keeping the Service secure and reliable and being able to help you — even if you decline analytics. We keep error reports minimal and avoid including personal data in them.
| Name | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Access token & email | localStorage | Keep you signed in and refresh your session |
| Active organization | localStorage | Remember which organization you are working in |
| Refresh token | HttpOnly cookie | Securely renew your session |
| Sidebar / UI state | Cookie | Remember interface preferences |
| Cookie consent | Cookie | Remember your cookie choice |
| Error monitoring (PostHog) | Storage | Detect and diagnose crashes so we can fix them |
| Feature flags (PostHog) | Storage | Enable/disable features and roll them out safely |
| Support identity (PostHog) | Storage | Verify who you are so we can help you securely |
Analytics (optional)
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| PostHog | Product analytics and feature usage — how the Service is used |
Session replay (optional)
We use PostHog session replay to understand user journeys and fix usability problems. To protect your data, all text and input fields are masked — recordings capture layout and interactions (such as which buttons you click) but neveryour invoice amounts, GSTINs, client details, or anything you type. It runs by default and stops immediately if you turn it off or choose “Essential only”.
2. Third-party cookies
Some features rely on third parties that may set their own cookies:
- Razorpay — during checkout, to process your payment securely.
- PostHog — error monitoring, feature flags and support always; analytics and session replay only if you have not declined.
3. Your choices
Essential storage — including error monitoring and support — cannot be turned off, because the Service will not function or stay secure without it. Analytics and session replay are optional: you can decline or withdraw your consent at any time using the control below. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect how the Service works.
4. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
